South Korean Teaching Positions

Position #1:
Kindergarten. Class size is approximately 8 to 12 students. Teaching hours are from 9 am to 4 pm, plus 2 hours preparation (4 pm to 6 pm).
Position #2:
Elementary School (grades 1 to 3). Class size is approximately 8 to 12 students. Teaching hours are from 2 pm to 9 pm, plus 1 hour preparation (1 pm to 2 pm).
Position #3:
Grades 4 to 8. Class size is approximately 8 to 12 students. Teaching hours are from 4 am to 10 pm, plus 2 hours preparation (2 pm to 4 pm).
All positions have the following benefits: curriculum & lesson plans provided; working days are Monday to Friday (no weekends); salaries are
2.3M Korean won (USD $1,775, CAD $2,400) to 2.5M Korean won (USD $1,930, CAD $2,650). The schools provide either free housing or a housing allowance,
and the teachers can choose between teaching in a metropolitan city such as Seoul, Gyeonggi-do (Greater Seoul area), Incheon, Daejeon, Busan or Daegu,
or in a rural city such as Chungbuk, Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, Gangwon or Jeju (Island).

E2 teaching visas are provided for licensed teachers (minimum bachelors degree and TESL/TEFL certificate) from the following countries: Canada; USA; UK;
Australia; and New Zealand. Unfortunately, this means that teachers not from these countries won't be provided with a teaching visa according the South
government's hiring policy (I'm afraid we have not say in this, in spite of our beliefs). Teachers should be younger than 60 years of age (55 to 58 is
probably the highest age schools will consider, in order to attract teachers who can renew their visas if they choose).
